A less nervous chuckle as Colin lets himself be dragged, though he digs his heels in after a few steps.

"We want blankets and pillows?" he suggests.

[altusimperius]

"Oh." Bene pauses too.

"...maybe Athessa will let us borrow some."

[keenly]

"You don't have any?"

[altusimperius]

"...well they're,"

He gestures uselessly down the stairs that they just climbed.

[keenly]

"...I...fine." Colin doesn't want to go all the way back either.

[altusimperius]

Bene hunches his shoulders.

"...can you, um." He motions to his sending crystal. He's not going to steal it, which is handy because this way he gets to make Colin do the embarrassing part.

[keenly]

Faintly worried about this, Colin takes the crystal from around his neck and passes it to him.

[altusimperius]

"Nooo," Bene whines, holding up his hands to block it, and makes a pleading look.

"Athessa. Um. Can we borrow some pillows and blankets?"

[sulahnan]

????

"Uh...sure? Don't you have your own?"

[keenly]

"Ah. Technically, but mine are in Hightown and Ben doesn't want to go back downstairs."

[altusimperius]

Quietly, "snitch."

[sulahnan]

A long pause.

"If you're gonna fuck on them you better wash them before you put 'em back."

[keenly]

"We--" pointed eye contact with Bene "--will wash them. Thank you so much."

He shuts off the feed and strides down to Athessa's room without even asking if Bene wants to help him (he knows the answer is no, and he really doesn't mind doing it). When he returns, he is loaded with bedding and nods for Bene to open the door to an empty room.

Bene rolls his eyes, but doesn't protest, just trailing after Colin and eventually doing as he asks by opening the door.

Poking his head in first, he then sticks in his left hand to shine the light from the shard around, making sure no one else is in there. When he's satisfied by its emptiness, he slips through and lets the door swing open for Colin.

[keenly]

There is technically a bed, but no mattress on it, so Colin lays everything out on the floor. By the time it's all set up, he's smiling again. He looks up at Bene through his eyelashes, a deliberately come-hither look.

[altusimperius]

It's bare bones, but at the same time, more comfortable than some of the surfaces Bene has slept on. He lowers himself onto it with a grin, cocking his head to one side as he sits near Colin, supporting himself on one arm and resting his free one on one propped-up leg.

And then, suddenly, he doesn't know what to say. It's been a while.

[keenly]

It has been a while. Colin stretches out beside Bene and hesitates, unsure where to begin. He's had fantasies, certainly, but faced with the real thing?

His hand reaches out on its own, tucks a strand of hair behind Bene's ear, and the natural thing to do after that is move in for a kiss--tentative, nervous, as he hasn't been with anyone since the last time he was with this man, and was never truly with anyone before that.

[altusimperius]

Bene takes the opportunity to sink backwards as he meets the kiss, maneuvering himself onto his back and resting on one elbow as he holds the back of Colin's head with the other hand.

It's a difficult position to hold, so he eventually lies all the way back, snatching a pillow to put it under his head and tugging on the front of Colin's shirt, inviting him forward.

[keenly]

Colin straddles Bene easily and kisses him again, deeply this time, planting one hand on either side of his head. Eventually he has to come up for air, at which point he sits up and unties his belt. Tunic and undertunic come off in a single motion and are cast aside before he bends back down to kiss him again, fingertips sliding under Bene's shirt to find bare skin.

As Colin moves to remove his top clothing, Bene begins to do the same, unlacing his tunic in the front and untying his belt. Then, he lies back again, arms up, waiting with a smile for Colin to do the honors, if he wants.

[keenly]

Bene's shirt winds up torn off in a flash so Colin can touch, kiss, explore. Which he does, somewhat at his own leisure, which is only leisurely for so long because it has been some time. Eventually his fingers wind up at Benedict's hips, nudging his trousers downward.

"Do you..." He clears his throat and looks shy. "Do you, um. Want to try the...thing we've neither of us tried?"

[altusimperius]

Bene can't be too surprised, because on some level, he may have been hoping for this. Still, he has to think about it a moment, then nods.

"You or me?" he asks, the smile drifting off in favor of a more serious, uncertain expression.
